Junior Marketing and Sales Representative
Job Summary
As a junior marketing and sales representative (or junior marketing rep), you will oversee the sales and marketing of our IT products and services from beginning to end. You will be the face of the company and direct point of contact with a customer, ensuring that a customer's needs and expectations are met. You will need to know the company's products or services inside and out and guide existing and potential customers through the purchase process efficiently and satisfactorily.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Acquire new customers by reaching out to leads
- Research the customer's individual or business purchase needs
- Serve existing customers by matching their purchasing plan with our products and services
- Adjust sales tactics based on tests and new insights in the field
- Resolve customer complaints and queries
- Create quotes and submit purchase orders
- Keep management informed of purchase actions
- Maintain monthly minimum goals
- Complete market research and monitor competitor activity
- Make recommendations for the customer
- Maintain documentation of customer contact and account updates in CRM
Sales and Marketing Representative Requirements and Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Bachelor's degree (ideal but not required)
- Sales certifications (a plus but not required)
- 1+ year of sales experience
- Customer service and people skills
- Phone, email, and chat communication skills
- Prospecting skills
- Persuasion, negotiation, and closing skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and financial goal minimums
- Patience to deal with customer issues and calls that do not end in a sale
- Motivational skills and a positive attitude
- Must be fluent in speaking and writing in English
Sales commission: 3% of sales in addition to hourly wages
